■  課程目標及內涵 (Course Objectives and Contents)
人文領域的課程目標在於啟發學生美的鑑賞與願意為善的藝術涵養。
本課程介紹近代中國文化人物的生命歷程，闡述他們的生平和思想，說明他們的生活方式，以及他們如何看待自己與同時代人的生活方式，藉此映照出近代中國文化發展的軌跡。
本課程也著重培養學生的閱讀能力、設身處地的想像能力、跨學科對話的能力、口頭表達及文字書寫的能力。

■  學習活動與作業說明 (Learning Activities and Assignments)
一，出席率：授課老師隨時點名，一學期缺席達三次者（三次點名未到），本課程以「不及格」計算。
二，平時考核：同學每週提交問題，老師依表現批給分數。
三，期末作業：分組以分組方式撰寫，每組4位同學，每人各認領本課程介紹的一位歷史人物，進行「想像你（妳）是他（她）」的角色模擬，就特定主題對話。評分標準：一，思想觀念必須與歷史人物相符；二，說話語氣必須與歷史人物相符；三，對特定主題的認識程度及分析深度。每人字數為1000-1200字，作業必須附參考文獻。附錄：修課心得。
